Joelle Gebhardt is a Canadian illustrator based in Berlin, Germany. She grew up in British Columbia and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus in illustration at Emily Carr University. Her illustrations are colourful and playful, combining various fabrics, 3D embroidery techniques, drawing and buttons. Joelle is interested in illustrating children’s books, book covers (fiction or non-fiction), editorial articles, educational books and materials,  greeting cards and commercial packaging. She is currently writing and illustrating her first children’s picture book which will be published by Canadian publisher Simply Read Books in 2017.  She is a member of the Association of Illustrators in London.
